Dose Management

A Mounjaro Dose Tracker That Keeps You on Schedule

Mounjaro starts at 2.5mg once weekly, typically moving to 5mg after 4 weeks and then up in 2.5mg steps — to a 15mg maximum — as your provider directs. A Mounjaro dose tracker keeps that whole journey organized: Pep sends injection reminders, logs each dose with the exact amount, and charts your escalation from 2.5mg to your maintenance dose. You can preview your own titration dates with our free GLP-1 dose schedule calculator.

What to Log in Your Mounjaro App Each Week

A Mounjaro app is only as useful as what you put into it. Fortunately, a good routine takes about a minute a day. Here is a simple weekly rhythm that works well for most people on the once-weekly pen:

  • Shot day. Log the dose and the injection site as soon as you inject. Lilly’s instructions say to rotate the site each week, so a quick note means next week’s spot is already decided.
  • The few days after. Note any nausea, constipation, or tiredness while it is fresh. Stomach side effects tend to cluster around dose increases, and a dated note helps your prescriber far more than a vague memory. Our guide to managing GLP-1 side effects covers what usually helps.
  • Every day. Log protein and water. Because appetite drops on tirzepatide, it is easy to fall short on protein without noticing, and our free GLP-1 protein calculator gives you a daily target to aim for.
  • Once a week. Weigh in on the same morning, before breakfast, so your trend line compares like with like. If the line goes flat for a few weeks, our GLP-1 plateau guide explains why that happens.
  • Before each appointment. Scroll back through your dose history and side effect notes, so you can show your prescriber exactly how each step up from 2.5mg went.

Curious what your results could look like? Our free GLP-1 weight loss calculator projects a week-by-week timeline from the clinical trial averages. And if you use the four-dose KwikPen, which is how Mounjaro is supplied in the UK and several other countries, also note which dose of the pen you are on. Our Zepbound KwikPen guide explains how that four-dose design works.

Mounjaro App FAQ

Is there a free Mounjaro app?

Yes. Pep is a free Mounjaro app and dose tracker for iPhone and Android — you can log every injection, weight change, and side effect at no cost. You can track your Mounjaro doses free with Pep, and our best GLP-1 tracker apps guide shows how it compares to other options, and if you are coming from Shotsy, Pep vs Shotsy shows what stays free in each app and how to switch in five minutes. On an Android phone? Our GLP-1 tracker app for Android guide covers setup and the battery settings that keep reminders firing.

How does a Mounjaro dose tracker help with dose escalation?

Mounjaro follows a stepped schedule: 2.5mg weekly to start, then 5mg after 4 weeks, with further 2.5mg increases at least 4 weeks apart up to a 15mg maximum, according to GoodRx’s Mounjaro dosage guide. Logging each dose amount in Pep gives you a clear escalation history to review with your provider — see our tips for new GLP-1 users for getting through the first weeks.

What happens if I miss a Mounjaro dose?

The prescribing information says to take a missed dose as soon as possible within 4 days (96 hours); after that, skip it and take your next dose on your regular day. Our free missed dose calculator shows what the label advises based on how late you are, and our missed GLP-1 dose guide covers every medication. A Mounjaro dose tracker makes misses rare — Pep reminds you on injection day and logs each dose once you confirm it. And since Mounjaro is tirzepatide, our tirzepatide tracker guide applies too.

How much does Mounjaro cost in 2026?

Mounjaro’s list price is about $1,080 per month as of August 2026, but most people pay far less. Eligible commercially insured patients with Mounjaro coverage can pay as little as $25 per month with the Mounjaro Savings Card, and those whose plan doesn’t cover it may qualify to pay $499 per month; Lilly also offers self-pay home delivery through LillyDirect. The current savings card terms run through December 31, 2026. Check Lilly’s official savings page for current terms, and estimate your own monthly price with our free GLP-1 cost calculator. Whatever the medication costs, the Pep Mounjaro dose tracker is always a free download.

Is there an official Mounjaro app?

Yes. Eli Lilly, the maker of Mounjaro, offers the Lilly Health app, which Lilly’s Mounjaro site describes as a no-cost companion with savings card access, dose tracking, and syncing with smart devices. Pep is an independent Mounjaro app and is not made by or affiliated with Lilly. People tend to choose it when they want shots, weight, protein, water, side effects, and progress photos in one place, or when they may move between GLP-1 medications later, because Pep tracks all of them.

Can I change my shot day in a Mounjaro app?

Yes. Lilly’s instructions say you can change the day of the week you take Mounjaro, as long as there are at least 3 days (72 hours) between doses. In Pep, simply log the shot on the new day and update your reminder; your dose history keeps the gap between shots easy to see. If you are unsure about the timing, check with your prescriber or pharmacist first.

Is a Mounjaro app the same as a Zepbound app?

In Pep, yes. Mounjaro and Zepbound both contain tirzepatide and share the same 2.5mg to 15mg dose steps, so the logging works the same way. The difference is the label: Mounjaro is approved for type 2 diabetes, while Zepbound is approved for weight management. Choose whichever brand is on your prescription when you set up the app. Our Zepbound tracker app page has the details for that brand.

Is Pep the same as Pep AI?

No. Pep GLP-1 Tracker is the free-to-download iPhone and Android app from Shred Apps for logging GLP-1 shots or pills, weight, food, and progress, with an optional Pro subscription. It is separate from Pep AI, the peptide-focused app. See the Pep facts page for details.
