GLP-1 Cost Calculator: Wegovy, Zepbound & Ozempic Prices

This free GLP-1 cost calculator estimates what you’ll pay per month and per year for Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro, and compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide — across cash-pay programs, retail list prices, insurance copays, and telehealth compounding. Prices last reviewed August 2026.

How This GLP-1 Cost Calculator Works

The estimates use August 2026 pricing: list prices of about $1,349/month for Wegovy, $1,272 for Zepbound, and roughly $1,000 for Ozempic, alongside the manufacturer self-pay programs that most cash payers actually use — NovoCare for Novo Nordisk drugs and LillyDirect vials for Zepbound ($299–449/month depending on dose). Compounded semaglutide runs roughly $149–300/month through telehealth providers, and compounded tirzepatide about $250–450.

Two things worth knowing before you budget: Novo Nordisk has announced Wegovy’s list price drops to $675/month in January 2027, and insurance coverage for weight-loss GLP-1s varies enormously by plan — always run a benefits check before assuming either the best or worst case.

Ways to Lower Your GLP-1 Cost

  • Manufacturer self-pay programs — usually the biggest lever if you’re uninsured or not covered: $299–499/month instead of $1,000+.
  • Savings cards — if your commercial insurance covers the drug, manufacturer cards can bring copays down to as little as $25/month.
  • Dose-aware budgeting — Zepbound vials cost less at starter doses; your first months may be cheaper than maintenance. Our dose schedule calculator shows when you’d reach each dose.
  • Compounded options — significantly cheaper, but vet the pharmacy carefully and involve your prescriber. If you go this route, our units calculator helps you read vial doses correctly.

GLP-1 Cost Calculator FAQ

How much does Wegovy or Zepbound cost per month without insurance?

At retail list price, about $1,349 (Wegovy) and $1,272 (Zepbound). But through manufacturer self-pay programs, most cash payers actually pay $499/month for Wegovy via NovoCare and $299–449/month for Zepbound vials via LillyDirect.

Is compounded semaglutide really cheaper?

Usually yes — roughly $149–300/month versus $499+ for branded self-pay. The tradeoffs: compounded drugs aren’t FDA-approved products, quality varies by pharmacy, and dosing is measured manually from vials.

Will GLP-1 prices come down?

They’re trending down: Zepbound vial prices were cut in late 2025, and Wegovy’s list price is set to drop to $675/month in January 2027. Competition and oral options are expected to keep pushing prices lower.
